President of the GJA, Affail Monney
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), says it acknowledges efforts being made by the Ghana Police Service to further investigate the assault case against Latif Iddrisu of the Multimedia Group.
Since the GJA announced a boycott of a Forum organised by the Media Foundation for West Africa, the Police have issued two Press statements seeking to clarify the matter.
A statement signed by the President of the GJA Affail Monney, welcomed the directive by the Inspector General of Police to the CID Headquarters to take over the investigations of the assault case from the Cantonments Police.
The statement said the move is reassuring and the GJA hopes it will yield fruitful results.
While assuring the Police of full support and cooperation in the matter, the GJA says it will not blink an eye on the case until justice is delivered to Latif.
