The Daily Graphic and the Daily Heritage express the need to eliminate corruption in Ghana. The Graphic supports calls for the review of the Assets Declaration Act, 1998, ACT 550, to make it mandatory for the assets of public officials to be published as soon as they are made available to the appropriate authorities for civil engagements. This will go a long way in reducing corruption in society. It says though the fight against corruption is an uphill task, if all stakeholders work in concert to promote anti-corruption and good governance practices, Ghana will succeed.

The Daily Heritage appeals to government to consider calls for the amendment of the Asset Declaration Act, 550 and speed up processes towards the establishment of the office of the Public Prosecutor to stem corruption. The Paper suggests the adoption of a legal probing system to assess the assets of every Ghanaian. This it believes will help check other acts of corruption outside the public system. The Heritage notes that corruption is killing the country and must be eradicated as early as possible.
