The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Maxwell Qophy Blagodzi has sworn into office sixteen (16) out of Twenty-Five (25) Municipal/Districts Chief Executives who have sailed through the heavy storms that have characterized the confirmation process. While some of them got overwhelming endorsement from all the Assembly Members in their respective Municipal/Districts, other had it very tough with some falling victim of the tsunami of the perceived in-fighting, the Minister concurred. At a ceremony held at Ho, Mr. Blagodzi reminded those who got hundred percent (100%) endorsement of high expectation from both those who endorsed them and those who had some dissenting opinions on their endorsement. He charged them to work hard to justify their endorsement and also to win their confidence, stressing the need for them to respect the Chiefs and Traditional Authorities in their Municipal/Districts, the General Public and The Party. He also called on them to cooperate with the Coordinating Directors and other workers of The Assembly, The Media and Members of Parliament, All Heads of Decentralized Departments within their administrative Areas, Business/Philanthropists, and all other Interest Groups in their jurisdictions for the realization of The NPP’s 2016 Manifesto. The MDDCEs were again charged to, “use the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936) as their Holy Book and source of reference for the avoidance of any doubt”. Source: Francis Edzorna Mensah/GBCONLINE
