Veep Bawumia launches mobile money interoperability

Effective today, mobile money transactions across all networks will be possible with the launch of the mobile money inter-operability. 

The initiative will see the transfer of mobile money from one telecommunication network to another without any challenges.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia said the launch of the system forms part of efforts to move the economy to cash less one. 

He urged the telecommunication operators, banks and other stakeholders to deepen their collaboration to make mobile money transactions a vehicle of economic emancipation.
