International Children’s Festival Opens in Turkey

This year's International Children’s Festival has opened in Izmir Gaziemir Municipality in Turkey.

Ghana is the only African country participating in this year’s International Children’s Festival.
 
Among the countries participating are Russia, Romania, Lithuania, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, USA, Netherlands, etc. 

Izmir Gaziemir Municipality is a major tourist destination with great heritage sites including the house of Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. 

It is worth discovering that Izmir is the land where religions melt with unique Handicrafts, Arts and Culture.
 
Izmir is the home of UNESCO world heritage sites. 

The city has been described by tourism pundits as “The city of flavor“; “The city of health“; “A peaceful modern city” and “A multi faith city”.

Ghana’s representatives to the festival are Nadia Issah Banaya, from St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Christie Esinam Dekportor, Holy Child Continual School,Madina.
 
The CEO of Kaya Tours Ghana , Ltd , Mr Abeiku Aggrey Santana facilitated the trip free of charge. 

The children from Ghana were accompanied by Kaya Tours ground handler Ms. Beatrice Dwamena and shall display the rich culture of the country through Dance, Poetry recitals, Chale wote beads, kente fabric, etc.
