EOCO Freezes Opuni’s accounts again The bank accounts of former Chief Executive Officer of COCOBOD, Dr. Stephen Opuni have been frozen again just a day after a court ordered the Economic and Organised Crime Office, (EOCO) to defreeze it. According to sources, EOCO has written to the respective banks not to allow Dr. Opuni access to his money despite the court order. The Economic and Organised Crimes Office has been investigating him since he was removed from office when the new administration took over. He and businessman Seidu Agongo are facing charges for alleged financial malfeasance in the execution of some contracts at COCOBOD. The two have been granted self-recognisance bail in the sum of 300 thousand cedis each.
