Former Government Appointees Reject Accusations Of Stealing

Three Members of Parliament (MPs) who served as ministers under the John Mahama administration yesterday (April 18), appeared before the Financial Fraud unit of the CID to commence investigations into allegations of stealing levelled against them. 

The three, former Minister of Roads and Highways, Inusah Fuseini, Former Minister of State in charge of Social and Allied Institutions, Mrs Comfort Doyoe Gyansah and former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Eric Opoku are among a group of former appointees accused of receiving double salaries as MPs and as Ministers or Deputy Ministers between January 2013 and December 2016.

According to the police, receipt of double salary is tantamount to stealing under the laws of Ghana.
