Sanction medical facilities that breach professional ethics A medical doctor at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Samuel Asiedu has urged patients and their relatives not to hesitate to take medical facilities that breach ethics of the medical profession to court. Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Dr. Asiedu said even though there are sanctions for medical officers whose negligence cause needless deaths, seeking redress at the Court will be the best move. Dr. Asiedu was reacting to reports that a doctor at St Gregory Hospital at Kasoa asked a nurse to disconnect a baby on oxygen for lack of funds. The baby died as a result of the disconnection.
