Ashanti: Construction of Boankra Inland Port project to resume in July

Construction of the Boankra Inland Port Project in the Ashanti region is expected to resume by July this year under a public-private partnership arrangement on a Build-Operate and Transfer, BOT, model. 

It is estimated to cost 400 million dollars and would be completed within two years. 

The Minister of Transport, Ofori Asiamah, made this known to GBC’s Radio Ghana in Kumasi after briefing the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, on steps being taken to re-start the Inland Port Project.
