Don't turn away patients for lack of facilities - Ministry of Health to hospitals The President of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, Dr. Asante Krobea has described as unprofessional the turning away of patients because of lack of beds. He however stated that it is not an intentional action by nurses but rather circumstances beyond their control. Dr. Asante Krobea spoke to Ibrahim Kwarteng on our news and current affairs programme, ‘Behind the News’. Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Health, Robert Cudjoe says government is working towards providing the necessary equipment to various health facilities. This follows reports that some facilities are turning away patients for lack of beds among others.
