Military deal: Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty disappointed at President Akufo-Addo's address 

The Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty has expressed disappointment at President Akufo-Addo's address on the Ghana-US military agreement.  

According to the group, the President should have used the opportunity to indicate a withdrawal of the agreement or renegotiate the terms and conditions in the face of public outcry.  

At a news conference in Accra, Spokesperson of the group and National Chairman of the People's National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, said the grave danger is that the presence of US military in any country is a magnet for terrorists around the world.  

He said Ghana as a peaceful country can be drawn into a long standing conflict between the US and some terrorist groups that are not able to draw a distinction between their enemies and innocent citizens.
