Kwabenya cell break case adjourned to March 15

An Accra Circuit Court has adjourned to the 15th of this month the case involving the accused persons in the Kwabenya jail break incident.
 
This was after the Prosecutor, D.S.P Bempah told the court that he was waiting for the Attorney General's advice on the charges against the accused persons.

He said if there is no feedback from the Attorney General's office by Wednesday, he would amend the Charge Sheet. 

Defense Counsel, Dela Blagodzi who was not pleased with the adjournment said this is the second time he is appealing for bail for the accused persons. 
 
He told the court that whilst waiting for the Attorney General's advice it will be prudent if the accused persons are granted bail to enable them to prepare adequately to stand trial.

The court presided over by Aboagye Tandoh however deferred his ruling on the bail application to the next adjourned date.

The accused persons are believed to have stormed the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters to free suspected armed robbers who were in custody which led to the death of Police Inspector, Emmanuel Ashilevi.
