UK to deport at least 2,500 'illegal' Zimbabweans – report

Britain has reportedly announced its intention to deport at least two thousand, 500 Zimbabweans living illegally in that country.

According to reports the British ambassador to Zimbabwe, recently told Zimbabwean Deputy President Kembo Mohadi, that her government intends to deport illegal Zimbabweans in that country.

The announcement came as British Prime Minister, Theresa May said that her government is "determined to reduce the number of immigrants coming into the country by thousands".

About 20 thousand British citizens live in Zimbabwe while at least one hundred and 12 thousand Zimbabweans live in Britain.

Relations between the two countries went rocky under former president Robert Mugabe, particularly over the controversial land reform programme.
