Eastern Regional Ghana Post Head Debunks Low Patronage Claim


The Eastern Regional Head of the Ghana Postal Services Limited, Gina Donkor, has debunked claim that Ghanaians are no longer patronizing their services. 

According to her, individuals no longer send Christmas cards through Ghana Post but there is a massive patronage of their services through parcels Inland and Abroad. 

She made this known in an exclusive interview with a Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC) Sunrise FM correspondent in Koforidua. 

Madam Donkor, brought to bare that, Ghana Post has now ventured into EMS system, and according to her, this helps in fast delivery of letters and fast sales of tertiary institutions’ admission forms. 

She however, said the influx of technology has not curtailed their services since people living abroad now send money through Ghana Post and access it through Western Union which Ghana Post now has a collaboration with. 

Ghana Post, she said, now works with Jumia which is an online marketing platform where all forms of basic necessities are sold. With the help of her outfit, she said, Jumia easily locates their clients based on the Digital Addressing System. 

Madam Donkor disclosed that, the Ghana Postal Service in the New Juaben Municipality has created employment for about one hundred people who work as door to door deliverers. 

She therefore urged all Ghanaians to have confidence in the Ghana Post and assured them of a cordial relationship in the coming years.
