Tema Health Directorate mounts Isolation wards

The Tema Health Directorate has mounted Isolation wards at the various public hospitals in the Metropolis to be able to quarantine patients in the case of an outbreak of the H1N1 virus in the Metropolis. 

Speaking in an interview with Obonu News, the Principal Nursing Officer in-charge of Promotion and Education, Martha Naa Koshie Lamptey said apart from the wards, they are also embarking on sensitizing activities to educate the public, especially Assembly members, School Heads and market women  on the prevention of the virus.

Madam Lamptey advised the general public to avoid over crowded places and keep their environment clean, as well as make hand washing with soap a habit.
