Senior Minister's Budget Estimates Withdrawn From Parliament

The 2018 Budget estimates for the Office for the Senior Minister has been withdrawn from parliament. 

The withdrawal is because the office is not a legal creation and cannot be given budgetary allocations. 

The sum of six million sixty-two thousand was allocated to the office. 

Speaking on the floor of Parliament, the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, argued that the office has not been gazetted and the house needs evidence that the President Nana Akufo-Addo acted appropriately and legally by creating the office by an executive instrument.
