Syria: Putin orders partial withdrawal of Russian troops

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has ordered partial withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria, during an unannounced visit to the Region.

Reports say Mr. Putin was met by Syrian President, Bashar Assad as he arrived at the Russian Hmeimim air-base.

President Putin already declared in March last year that he was planning to pull out majority of Russian troops there. 
 
The Russian leader is also due to travel to Egypt and Turkey for talks.
