THE DAILY HERITAGE: appeals to the public to appreciate the need to have blood banks stocked with blood all the time so that lives that need blood to survive can be saved. The paper, in this regard commends staff members of HODA Holdings subsidiaries who donated blood last month to augment the stocks of the National Blood Service centres in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions. The Heritage therefore encourages individuals and organisations to emulate HODA Holdings staff to voluntarily donate blood from time to time.

THE GHANAIAN TIMES: calls for a national consensus on the need to take research and development seriously in the country's research institutions. According to the paper diseases are inevitable, hence the need to be ahead of these emerging diseases through painstaking inquiries. The Times however renders its sympathy to the families of deceased students of Kumasi Academy SHS, on the death of some of the students as a result of the viral infection.
