Swine Flu named as cause of deaths at Kumasi Academy Research by Noguchi Centre reveals four of Kumasi Academy Students died of viral infection influenza also known as swine flu Tests from the Noguchi Research Center have revealed that the four students who died at the Kumasi Academy may have died of influenza type-A H1N1 2009, pandemic strain also known as swine flu. Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu who stated this at a news conference in Accra said 12 of the 19 samples sent to the Noguchi Memorial Institute tested positive for the virus. Providing more details, the Minister said similar samples have been sent to the Kumasi Center for Collaborative Research.
