UN calls for peaceful resolution to crisis in Zimbabwe UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres has appealed for calm and restraint in Zimbabwe. His spokesman, Farhan Haq, said Mr. Guterres is monitoring "the evolving situation", adding that preservation of fundamental rights, including freedom of speech is of vital importance to the UN General assembly.
