Queen Margrethe Of Denmark Arrives In Ghana Next Week

Queen Margrethe of Denmark is expected in Ghana from November 22 to 26, at the invitation of President, Akufo-Addo. 

The Queen's visit is to consolidate the long-standing relation between Ghana and Denmark. It will also mark the gradual transition in the relationship between the two counties from development cooperation to trade based partnerships. 

In line with the upcoming visit, the Royal Danish Embassy in Accra briefed selected journalists on what is expected. 

GBC’s Rebecca Ekpe who attended reports that the Royal Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Tove Degnbol said Queen Margrethe will be accompanied by the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adreas Samuelsen, the Minister of Environment and Food, Esben Lunde Larsen.

Queen Margrethe will also lead a business delegation of 39 innovative Danish companies, along with 90 businessmen from selected sectors including, Sustainability, Food and Agriculture, Maritime, Infrastructure and Railways. 

The Danish Ambassador said if there is something in particular Ghanaians and the Danish should expect of Queen Margarethe's visit, it is to boost business opportunities and Ghana's image abroad.
