The Daily Graphic says much effort should be made to invest in the railway sector as it will create jobs and boost the economy. The paper commends the University of Mines and Technology for agreeing to develop courses in railways to improve the current state of the rail sector. The Graphic is however worried that the Ghana Railway Company still keeps a large number of employees even though the needed equipment such as rail engines and coaches they are supposed to work with are not available. This, the paper believes, adds to the woes of the company. It therefore calls on the management of the Ghana Rail Company to be innovative in finding resources to carry out basic maintenance in order  to keep the trains on track.

The Ghanaian Times is alarmed at the increase in scams and impersonations in the country. The paper says scam calls and mobile money fraud have worsened the situation, as innocent Ghanaians are being duped every day, leaving them in misery. The Times therefore urges the security agencies to take a critical look at the sophisticated phony activities and deal with them with a sense of urgency. The paper further calls for stiffer punishment for culprits to serve as deterrent to others.

The Daily Heritage urges all factions in the Ga chieftaincy dispute to give peace a chance and cooperate with the Regional Security Council to ensure lasting peace. The paper refers to the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Ishmael Ashitey's statement which challenges the two factions in the dispute to ensure peace in Ga. The Heritage says it is a shame that the Ga Traditional Council has not witnessed peace since the death of Boni Nii Amugi in December 2004. The paper in this regard appeals to the people to ensure that peace prevails in the chieftaincy litigation.
