MoE to close down tertiary institutions without accreditation The Ministry of Education (MoE) is in the process of closing down all tertiary institutions operating without accreditation from the National Accreditation Board. The move according to the Minister in Charge of Tertiary Education, Professor Kwesi Yankah, signals the importance Government attaches to quality and standards in tertiary education. He said, the accreditation board is currently undertaking an admission auditing and universities found to be admitting unqualified candidates will be severely sanctioned. The Minister disclosed this when he addressed the 15th Graduation and 24th Matriculation of the Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG) at Fiapre near Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
