Ghana: World Egg Day marked with call for gov't support for poultry industry

The Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers has called on government to make poultry an integral part of its flagship programmes, the One district One factory and Planting for Food and Jobs programmes. 

According to the national chairman of the Association, Victor Oppong Adjei, the industry has a lot of potential. 

However, the lack of support and wrong perception about egg consumption is killing the industry. 

He was speaking at the World Egg Day observed in Takoradi. 

Correspondent Benedicta Quarshie and Linda Gabrah took part in the celebration which was meant to promote local production and the consumption of Egg.
