PURC Executive Secretary Samuel Sarpong sacked 

The Executive Secretary of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), Samuel Sarpong has been relieved of his post with immediate effect. 

A letter signed by Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo asked Mr. Sarpong to hand over to Mami Dufie Ofori and to cease to act as the Executive Secretary of the Commission no later than close of business tomorrow, October 13.  

He is expected to collect three (3) months' salary in lieu of notice. 

Mr. Sarpong has been the PURC Executive Secretary, since February 2013. Nana Bediatuo Asante extended the President's best wishes to Mr. Sarpong and thanked him for his service to the nation.
