Nigeria police investigate musician Davido over friend's death

Police in Nigeria are investigating musician Davido over the circumstances leading to the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike.  

A police spokesman says Davido is not considered a suspect at this stage, but confirmed that the afrobeats star had been called in for an interview, along with relatives of the deceased who were there at the time of his death. 

He said they are investigating where Davido went to and video footage, just to give a clearer picture of what happened. 

Mr Tagbo, a friend of Davido, died on October 3 and his body was reportedly abandoned infront of a hospital in Lagos. 

Davido has consistently denied any involvement in the death.
