The paper says the practice where such products are only confiscated without prosecution and subsequent jailing must be a thing of the past. It says unwholesome products on the market pose a threat to citizens, as consumption could be fatal. The Graphic calls on the regulatory agencies to up their game to ensure persons who import unwholesome foods are brought to book.

The Ghanaian Times focuses on holistic development of children as the world marked International Day of the Girl Child October 11. The paper sees it as unfortunate, the neglect and wellbeing of children by many parents and communities. It decries the inability of agencies mandated to cater for the needs of children to live up to their mandate. The paper is of the view that most children the world over are currently facing high incidents of rape, violence, teenage pregnancy among others. It therefore calls for a holistic approach to tackling issues of the girl child to avoid victimisation. 

The Daily Heritage is worried about the abuse of internet usage by the youth who have embraced new trends in ICT. According to the paper, the advent of new technologies and social media has brought in its wake some useful benefits as well as major concerns that must not be grossed over. The Heritage therefore called on parents and guardians to closely monitor the websites visited by their children.
