Ghana to extinguish USA in India

After a hard fought victory in the opening game against Colombia, Ghana will face United States in the second game on Monday. The Black Starlets are searching for a qualification for round 16 for the first time since 2007 when they meet flying USA in New Delhi.

USA had a flamboyant start to life in the tournament by beating host nation India 3 nil to top group A with a superior goal difference.

The ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars’ who are yet to lose a game against The Yankees at this level following their two straight victories in their two meetings are poised to add USA to their list of victims in the ongoing tournament.

The later contest will be vital for the host and Colombia as both sides need points to survive.

In group B, Mali will be on an image redemption exercise against Turkey after painfully losing their first game and Paraguay hopes to consolidate their top spot when they play against New Zealand.
