Health Ministry to launch restoration of Nurses, Midwives Trainee allowances

The Ministry of Health is to launch the restoration of the Nurses and Midwives Trainees Allowance. 

The restoration of the allowance, which is in fulfillment of a campaign promise made by the President to health training institutions, is to take place in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region on October 10 this month. 
 
A statement signed by the Ministry said this will see about Sixty Eight Thousand [68,000] trainees receiving GH¢400.00 [Four Hundred Ghana Cedis] monthly.
 
The statement said the cost of the restoration is adequately captured in the 2017 budget presented in March 2017.
