The Daily Graphic commends government for the bold initiative to revive the agricultural sector and create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth. The paper however urges it to spell out other policy measures beyond the stated promise of avoiding the Dutch disease. It says paying more attention to the agricultural sector does not  mean neglecting other sector of the economy. It is only when a comprehensive policy is adopted towards all the sectors with agriculture as the springboard that it can safely say they are on the road towards avoiding the Dutch disease.

The Ghanaian Times welcomes Ghana's progress at developing a cashless economy through digital payment which could save the country GHc 250 million annually if government continues to invest in digital payment systems. The Times, urges government to take advantage of the prevailing stable economic condition to educate the public on the benefits of digital payments 

The Daily Heritage is worried that AIDS which traced its history to the Democratic Republic of Congo as far back as 1959, remains a killer despite the availability of antiretroviral drugs. According to the paper, the Ghana Aids Commission has over the years tried to fight the stigmatisation of HIV/AIDS victims with sustained campaign, but it still has a long way to go. The Heritage says the use of AIDS ambassadors to a large extent gave hope to even pregnant women who have contracted the virus, but was worried that even the ambassadors themselves complained of being stigmatised.
