Ghana risks increased breast cancer cases- WHO 

The World Health Organisation has warned of increased cancer cases in Ghana in the coming years if more emphasis is not placed on early detection and treatment.
 
Currently, breast cancer has been identified as the lead cancer for women and the second leading cause of female cancer deaths globally with more than four thousand cases recorded annually.
 
Speaking at the launch of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October, the First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo encouraged women to undertake regular screening to ensure early detection.
