Northern Regional Coordinating Council criticised for levying Assemblies for President's visit

A Local Governance Expert, Dr. Eric Oduro Osae says it is wrong for the Northern Regional Coordinating Council to levy assemblies in the region towards to the President's visit to the area.

He said while the Regional Coordinating Council can solicit support from the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies it is improper to link it to the President's visit. 

The Northern Regional Coordinating Council has asked assemblies in the region to contribute GH¢5,000.00 each, towards preparations for the President's 3-day tour of the region.
