It is not certain my name will be on the 2020 ballot paper - Prez Akufo Addo The President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that he will not be deterred in his fight against galamsey in spite of the threats that people are issuing against his candidacy in the next elections. He says he is not certain his name will be on the ballot paper and even if his name appears on it there are other factors that will come into play. President Akufo-Addo was responding to a question at the presidential encounter at the Flagstaff house today. He says he was moved to do something about the illegal mining (Galamsey) menace after the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology travelled to the Ivory Coast and was confronted with the harm that the menace was causing to water bodies in that neighbouring country. According to the President, the fight is not against Chinese Nationals and the Vice President had since travelled to that country with positive dividends. GBCONLINE
