The Daily Graphic calls on all duty bearers responsible for building the country's infrastructure to be steadfast in the discharge of their duties to ensure that the mass of Ghanaians benefit fully from the huge taxes they pay to have things done. The paper says the country does not always have to look to multilateral and bilateral donors for support to build infrastructure because the country is capable in doing so when things are done right to enable facilities to stand the test of time. The Graphic cites infrastructure such as the Tema Motorway, Akosombo Dam, Black Star Square among others by the country's first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah saying leaders in these times can do same and even better.  

The Ghanaian Times commends the Chief Fire Officer and his men for their prompt response to the distress call to the fire outbreak which occurred at Makola. The paper says it is glad that no lives were lost as a result of the fire outbreak. The paper calls on authorities and benevolent institutions to go to the aid of the victims. The Ghanaian Times however cautions all traders and users of public spaces to be more careful on the menace of fire and fire outbreaks

The Heritage writes on the dangers on self-medication and support the decision of some pharmacies on insisting that prescriptions are given for the treatment of malaria. According to the paper, most people who feel feverish do not avail themselves to any test but go ahead and prescribe drugs for themselves without knowing the potency of the drugs. The paper calls for a concerted effort to stop self-medication thereby reducing complications of self-diagnosis.
