Bui Dam Accident: Ghana Navy's rescue effort unsuccessful The eight persons who were reported missing after their canoe capsized on the Bui reservoir have still not been found. According to the Corporate Affairs manager of the Bui Power Authority, Cherie Adamu Lawson, the Ghana Navy marine team has been in the waters since morning but has not been able to find the bodies. She however stated that it is illegal for any commercial vessel to travel on the Bui reservoir. The Eight persons were reported missing yesterday when a canoe they were travelling on in the Bui reservoir capsized. This was after their outboard motor developed a fault as a result of strong winds and rain storm. A second canoe which went to their rescue also capsized.
