Alleged murderers of Abuakwa North MP JB Danquah discharged

The alleged murderer of the Abuakwa North MP, Daniel Asiedu has been discharged. 

Asiedu together with Vincent Bosso were discharged after the Attorney General filed a Nolle Prosequi to terminate proceedings. A term indicating that they are no more continuing the Case. 

The Senior State Attorney Sefakor Batse said in pursuant to section 54 of the criminal and other offences act, they have discontinued the Case. 

Defence counsel Muniru Kassim said they have no objection since the Attorney General has the power to discontinue the Case. 

The Court presided over by Justice Lorence Lazzagla Mensah subsequently discharged the accused persons.

Meanwhile there are indications that the accused persons may be re arrested.
