Gov`t to fly all 442 pilgrims who paid but couldn`t be flown to Mecca last year Government says it will fly all four hundred and forty two pilgrims, who paid but could not be flown to Mecca last year. The Chairman of the Hajj Board, Sheikh IC Quaye disclosed this in an interview with correspondent Murtala Issah in Tamale. He said though the Hajj board met empty coffers, government has decided to absorb the cost of pilgrims' travel to enable them to fulfill their religious obligation. Sheikh IC Quaye was in the Northern Region to assess facilities for this year's Hajj. He advised would-be pilgrims to pay in time as flying will be done on first come, first served basis. GBCONLINE
