The Daily Graphic makes an appeal to all African governments to take another look at the AU Charter and protocols to see how best they can monitor those who are misapplying the resources of their people and be brought to order.  The Paper says If Africa can attain quality health care, education and good roads through economic emancipation, it demands that the people harness their resources, produce to feed themselves and export the rest. It adds that it is time leaders engaged their people on the AU, so that the day will have meaning for the lay man.

The Daily Heritage wishes the Black Starlets the best of luck as they lock horns with the Young Eagles of Mali on Sunday in the CAF Under-17 Africa cup of Nations finals in Gabon. The Paper urges the Starlets to eschew any form of complacency that will affect their chances of winning the competition.  It calls on the Ministry of Youth and Sports to give the playing body and the technical team the needed resources and motivation required to bring home the cup. 

The Ghanaian Times says as the African Union marks its 54th anniversary, Leaders on the continent must make conscious efforts to attain economic independence.  The Paper is of the view that so much time has been spent in resolving endless and needless conflict at the expense of promoting  sustainable development.  It said what the continent needs most now is peace , stability and good democratic governance to propel it to socio-economic prosperity.
