Anglican Bishop of Accra condemns parents who confront teachers when their wards are disciplined Twenty Seven pupils have been honoured by Anglican Education Unit in Accra for excellent performance in a science and mathematics test conducted for pupils from basic one to JSS three. In a speech delivered on his behalf at the Second Pupils Excellence Awards held at the All Saints Anglican Primary and JSS in Accra, the Bishop of the Accra Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Sylvanus Mensah Torto urged parents to support their wards positively in their basic education. He condemned parents who confront teachers in school when their wards are disciplined. The Guest Speaker Reverend Ekua Ofori Boateng urged stake holders in education to recognise their distinct roles in modelling the child to be useful citizens in future. The Greater Accra Regional Manager of Anglican Schools, Alfred Adjirackor urged teachers of the unit to concentrate more on improving teaching and learning especially with numeracy and literacy. The first prize comprising text books and a lap top for JSS 3 went to Jerry Jude Sackey of Saint Augustine Anglican School, Dansoman. That for JSS 2 was awarded to Reuben Boamah of All Saints Anglican whiles that for JSS one went to Gertrude Allotey of Kwashieman 2 Anglican. GBCONLINE
