Pippa Middleton marries her own Prince Charming

Pippa Middleton married financier James Matthews on Saturday (May 20), six years after almost stealing the limelight at her sister Kate’s Royal wedding to Britain’s Prince William.

Pippa, 33, arrived in an open-top car accompanied by her father, smiling broadly and waving to crowds gathered near St. Mark’s church in Englefield, about 50 miles west of London.

The bride was radiant in a bespoke Giles Deacon dress. 

The elegant white lace gown featured a cut-out in the back and a full long skirt.

Matthews sported a three-piece morning suit with a pale waistcoat and tails.

Pippa’s big sister Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, helped her children George, 3, and Charlotte, 2, with their page boy and flower girl duties.

The bride and groom’s guests at the small country church included tennis star Roger Federer.

Among friends and family were Princes William and Harry. But noticeable by her absence from the ceremony was Harry’s American girlfriend, the actress Meghan Markle. Rumours are rife that soon it might be their turn to tie the knot.

Pippa Middleton took the spotlight by surprise when she acted as maid of honour at the 2011 wedding of her sister to William, mainly due to her svelte figure, the back of which was captured by many a camera.

“Rear comes the bride,” joked the Daily Star newspaper.
