MTTD introduces modern digital system to check road traffic offences

Spot fine for road traffic offences has been in operation for some time now but the MTTD says it is introducing a modern digital system soon to deter drivers from willfully committing traffic offences.
 
Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Public Relations Officer of the MTTD, Chief Inspector Simon Teiku, explains how the system will operate and hopes that by the end of the year the law will become operational. 

He also touched on swoops on recalcitrant commercial drivers around the 37 bus stop and in the central business area of Accra.
