Aowin District Assembly confirms President's nominee 

The Aowin District Assembly in the Western Region has confirmed, the President's nominee, Samuel Adu Gyamfi as the District Chief Executive. 

The election was presided over by the Western Regional Minister, Dr Kwaku Afriyie who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso. 

The election was conducted and supervised by the Western Regional Electoral Commission assisted by the District Electoral Officers. 

Out of the thirty four [34] Assembly Members and government appointees, Mr Adu Gyamfi pulled 28 votes representing 82.3 percent. 

The new DCE Samuel Adu Gyamfi expressed gratitude to the President for nominating him and assured the electorate of his readiness to ensure the development of the District.  He indicated his commitment to eradicating galamsey in the District.
