6th May, 2017 The Ghanaian Times calls on consumers to be quality conscious when buying any product on the market so as not to be deceived by the outward decorative and appealing appearances of goods found on the market. The paper says markets around the country usually become saturated with variety of goods, many of which are found to be sub-standard. The paper says expiry date on a product is important because it helps to determine, for health and safety reasons, whether or not the products is good for consumption. The Times urges consumers to keep off products whose expiry dates are suspected to have been insidiously tampered with. The Daily Graphic believes that service companies, including Telcos, are taking their customers for granted and it is about time something was done to achieve excellence in service delivery across the industry. According to the paper, a random nationwide survey conducted last month indicated that subscribers were not happy with telecom service providers. The Graphic thinks that the regulator, National Communication Authority, NCA, has not done much when it comes to putting the Telcos on their toes. The Spectator comments on the address of the President at this year's workers May Day celebration about the attitude of the Ghanaian worker which he said he has observed over the years. According to the paper, the President was blunt and straight forward and called a spade a spade as a leader who wants workers to behave differently if this country is to move forward. The Spectator therefore reminds Ghanaians that no one will build this country but Ghanaians themselves. GBC
