Government Launches $2.6 Million Remittance Grant Facility Government has launched a 2.6 million dollar Remittance Grant Facility that will be piloted for the next four years. The aim is to reduce the cost of remittance into the country which currently stands at 12%. The move, is also aimed at increasing the percentage of formal sector remittance and enhancing the impact of remittances on economic growth and poverty reduction. Deputy Finance Minister, Adu Boahen, who launched the facility in Accra said KPMG International Development Advisory Services will manage the fund while the private sector will largely lead its implementation.
