Children engaged in illegal mining - Child Rights International Survey

A survey conducted by Child Rights International, has revealed a worrying trend of the involvement of children in illegal mining. 

At a media engagement in Accra to discuss the report, the Executive Director of the organisation, Bright Appiah, said increasing child labour issues especially in illegal mining require urgent attention to secure the future of the country. 

Mr. Bright Appiah advocated livelihood support programmes for those involved in illegal mining especially children.
