Education Ministry solicits support for 2017 Best Teachers Award

The Deputy Minister of Education, Mrs. Barbara Ayisi Asher, has toured some organisations to seek sponsorship for this year's National Best Teacher and Schools Awards.  

The organisations the Minister visited include, SIC Life, SEDCO publishing limited and Vidya book store.  

Mrs. Asher said government has put in place innovative interventions to make this year's ceremony different from the previous ones.  

She said, teachers play vital role in the development of the country therefore they must be rewarded accordingly.  

Mrs Asher added that it is time Ghanaians appreciated the good work of teachers by contributing financially to support the ceremony.  

The organisations visited expressed their willingness to support the event.
