Afram River: MV Millennium Challenge resumes operation The ferry that got stuck among tree-stumps on the Afram River at Adoso in the Eastern region was able to get off the tree-stumps and resume operations. Yesterday, a windstorm pushed MV Millennium Challenge a ferry that operates on river Afram at Adoso off its course at around six pm and it got entangled in tree-stumps on the river. According to the operators, Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC), the passengers on board have been evacuated leaving the vessel and cargo. Although the Company said it had planned to dispatch another vessel (MV Volta Queen) from Akosombo to Adoso to help pull MV Millennium Challenge from the tree-stumps that entangled it, the pontoon was able to get off the tree-stumps and has resumed operations.
