Yapei Bridge to close to traffic at night for 30 days

The Yapei Bridge will be closed to traffic from tomorrow May 3, 2017 from 6pm to 6am. 

The closure which lasts for 30 days will enable the Ghana Highway Authority to undertake emergency maintenance work.  

The Bridge which is on the Techiman-Tamale highway is one of the major bridges on that stretch.  

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Kwasi Amoako Atta inspected the bridge this morning for work to commence. 

The Yapei Bridge was built to last for 50 years but it is now in its 54th year thus making way for structural defects.
