Storm displaces MV Millennium Challenge on River Afram A windstorm on Monday pushed MV Millennium Challenge, a ferry that operates on river Afram at Adoso in the Eastern region, off its course around 18 hrs, leaving it entangled in trees stumps on the river Afram. According to its operators, Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC), there were no life at stake since they have made provisions and evacuated all passengers on board after the storm. What is left now is the vessel and cargoes on-board. The management of VLTC said they had dispatched another vessel (MV Volta Queen) from Akosombo and it is on its way to Adoso to help pull out MV Millennium's Challenge from the tree stumps that entangled it.
