7 top officials of Fire Service interdicted Seven top officials of the Ghana National Fire Service, including a former Chief Fire Officer, William Brown Acquaye, have been indicted by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). The others include four Deputy Chief Fire Officers William Jesse Mensah, Director of Logistics, Cornelius Woedi, Director of Finance and Administration, Stephen Kandue, Director of Human Resource and Training and Thomas Hyde, Director of Operations. The rest are Alfred Oliver Mensah, Director of Accounts attached to the GNFS from the Controller and Accountant General's Department and Mr. Cab-Beyuo, a Chief State Attorney. Of the four DCFOs implicated, William Jesse Mensah, is the only officer still in the service. They were indicted for collecting illegal levies from contract bidders. TIMES
